Meet the Founder
Katie Thompson - Bridal Style Master
Hi I’m Katie Thompson, the founder of Golden Veil Bridal. My journey with hair began in California when I was just ten years old, tagging along with my dad — a photographer and graphic designer — on a photoshoot. I watched in awe as the on-set stylist transformed models with hair and makeup, and in that moment, I knew this was what I was meant to do.
By 19, I had completed cosmetology school and launched my career, spending the next decade in Orange County and Los Angeles. I specialized in weddings, special events, and countless blowouts, including seven wonderful years at a blowdry bar where I styled hundreds of brides and bridal parties.
In 2024, I brought my bridal artistry to the Chicago suburbs and founded Golden Veil Bridal. My passion lies in empowering women to feel their most beautiful and confident on one of the most meaningful days of their lives. I also love mentoring and teaching other artists, which inspired me to build a team of highly skilled, licensed professionals who share my dedication to connection, detail, and artistry. Together, we take pride in not just styling hair — but creating an experience that leaves our brides feeling seen, celebrated, and unforgettable.
